Membership of the Australian Farm Institute is available to individuals or organisations that have a significant interest in farming, agriculture, agribusiness or related industries, and that contribute financially to the operations of the Institute.

Individual Membership

Individual Membership - is open to any individual or organisation that wishes to join the Institute and who pays the annual membership fee.

Individual Membership entitles the member to receive the Institute's quarterly Journal, occasional papers produced by the Institute, Research Reports published by the Institute, as well as access to seminars and other functions.

Individual membership does not entitle the holder to voting rights.

(Charges include postage & handling).

Cost: A$220.00 (+ GST)

Student Membership

Student Membership is available at a discounted rate for full-time tertiary students. Student members receive the same benefits as Individual Members.

Student Membership is open to any individual or organisation that wishes to join the Institute and who pays the annual membership fee. Student membership entitles the member to receive the Institute's quarterly Journal, occasional papers produced by the Institute, and summary reports of all major research projects completed by the Institute, as well as access to seminars and other functions.

Student membership does not entitle the holder to voting rights.

Cost: A$120.00 (+ GST)

Journal Subscriber (electronic copy)

Journal Subscription is available to those who only wish to become subscribers to the journal and not to access other member benefits. The journal is released quarterly.

Cost: A$100.00 (+ GST)

(requires credit card and email)

Journal Subscriber (hard copy)

Journal Subscription (hard copy) is available to those who only wish to become subscribers to the journal and receive a hard copy through the mail. Like the electronic Journal Subscription it does not access other member benefits.

Cost: A$130.00 (+ GST)

Institutional Publication Subscription

Annual Institutional Publication Subscriptions start from $1,100 (incl. GST). Subscribers receive hard copies of all Institute publications published during the subscription year, including the Farm Policy Journal, Research Reports and newsletters. Subscriptions also include a PDF of Institute publications that can be placed on an intranet for ease of access.

Annual Institutional Journal Subscriptions start from $550 (incl. GST). Subscribers receive hard copies of four editions of the Farm Policy Journal. Subscriptions also include a PDF of of the Journal that can be placed on an intranet for ease of access.

Corporate Membership

Corporate Membership is available for corporations who have a number of personnel who wish to obtain access to Institute products and services. 

Corporate Membership cannot be applied for online - for information about Corporate membership, or to make an application, please contact the Institute.

Co-funders and Sponsors

Individuals or organisations that have a specific interest in a project being implemented by the Institute may elect to become co-funders or sponsors of that project.  In return for their financial contribution, co-funders or sponsors are acknowledged in project reports and other publications arising from the project.  In addition, co-funders or sponsors can arrange to receive a private briefing on the outcomes of the research project from the researchers involved, once the project has been completed.
