Mick Keogh

Executive Director

Background:

  • Executive Director, Australian Farm Institute
  • Previously, General Manager Policy, NSW Farmers’ Association
  • Worked for ten years as an agricultural management consultant, for both private and public sector clients
  • Previously, research officer at University of NSW
  • Obtained a BSc and MSc in Wool & Pastoral Sciences at University of NSW
  • Grew up on, and continues to be involved in a mixed-farming enterprise based in southern NSW

Role:

  • Oversee the functioning of the Institute and its staff

Tracey Bligh

Background:

  • Tracey is originally from Burnie on north-western coast of Tasmania
  • She has worked in a variety of roles for both the Commonwealth Bank and TNT couriering services

Role:

  • Tracey's role at the Institute is to look after members and subscribers and to provide administration support to Institute staff

Gaetane Potard

Research Officer

Background:

  • 7 years of professional experience as policy officer and adviser within the French Department of agriculture, food, rural development, fisheries and forestry
  • Master in Agriculture & Envrionmental Sciences and economics - Agro-Montpellier (France, 2001) and a degree in public policy
  • Grew up in Dijon, Burgundy, France. Family involved in dairy and wine

Role:

  • Assist with the coordination of research projects
  • Conduct research
  • Assist with the publications and the website.
 

Sally Beech

Publications Officer

Background:

  • Sally has worked in publications design and editorial for over ten years
  • Her previous employment includes roles as Studio Coordinator at AGSM, Editorial Assistant at UTS and Designer/Illustrator at Science Press
  • Sally grew up in Canberra

Role:

  • Sally's role at the Institute is to design and edit Farm Institute publications
 

Renelle Jeffrey

Project Officer

Background:

  • 8years program and project management experience at Australian Wool Innovation
  •  Policy Officer at NSW Farmers Association
  • Obtained a Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) Hons I, from University of Sydney
  • Currently studying for a Master of Environmental Systems, Markets and Climate Change

Role:

  • Project Management
  • Conduct and co-ordinate research projects
  • Co-ordinate seminars/events & assist with communication
  • Assist with development and distribution of publications
  • Website development & maintenance
